There’s so much we can learn from the spider. It creates a web appealing enough to attract its prey but shrewdly enough to stretch and “give” at the proper location. In a recent study, by Markus J. Buehler of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Buehler suggests, “Spider silk has a particular way of softening and then being stiff …that is really essential for it to function properly…” Spider web needs to be strong enough to sustain strong winds yet nimble enough to entice and seduce it quarry. The real genius is that spiders have figured out how only the most extended (and or worn) silk threads get severed during time of high stress. Having small portions of the web come apart not only helps retain the overall structural integrity but also makes the overall web stronger. Our “game” needs to mirror the spider webs behavior. Women are more sophisticated, more demanding and our male counterparts have been compelled to elevate their game creating more competition —adaptive, nimbleness and dexterity, like the spider web, are the qualities of the modern man. That’s not to say you won’t find an outlier—that one guy who magically is able to seduce a particular 9/10, nevertheless, possessing such characteristic can never hurt.
